Halloween (and other stuff)

Well, Halloween was kind of uneventful, which was a little disappointing to me. Not that it is my favorite holiday, I just always thought Halloween was a nice day because people who don't know eachother give out things and I think that is nice.

This was my first Halloween in 15 years, (yes, you read that correctly) that I have been able to give out candy, because we live in a secured apartment building so no one can get in. Of course, since we were house sitting this year, we could give out candy. Well, it rained. Yes, we bought all of this candy and hardly had any time to give it out. Kind of depressing, but more so for the poor kids that had to give up early.

I have been keeping busy. I started another quilt, but it is not quite going my way. It is not matching up the way I would like it to, but I am going to try and make it work anyway.

I have not done much knitting, however, I have completed one fingerless glove and do plan on working on the other one today. Also, I finished sewing two sets of pillowcases for Christmas presents.

The dogs we are watching are so adorable and loving. I can't wait to show you pictures of the cute duo.

Not much to say and unfortunately no pictures yet, but they are coming soon.

Not Much To Report

As the title indicates, I dont have much to report, but I really want to keep up with this blog.

I started a new quilt. If only my camera worked on this computer! I am really enjoying it. As a matter of fact, I am enjoying it so much that I have not touched my knitting for two days. Not that I dont love my knitting, its just that, well, I guess its a new love syndrome. You know how it is, something new and exciting so you can't get enough of it.

Today, I am going back to Joanne's because they are still having a huge sale and I have coupons, so I can't let them go to waste. I am not sure what I will buy. I know I need to get the batting for my quilt, but they also have yarn on sale and, of course, one can never get enough of yarn.

So, enjoy your day and enjoy your crafts!

What I have been up to

Well, I have to say that it has been a very productive past couple of days. Although I have not started any knitting yet, and yet means it has to happen soon because I think I am going through withdraw, I have cut out a quilt and started to put it together.

Unfortunately, my camera is not compatible with my sister-in-law's computer so I have no pictures. I will tell you that it is called a "scrappy quilt" which consists of a mixture of blues and greens. The layout is not quite as I had pictured, but it definitely has a scrappy look to it.

The weather here in New Hampshire is definitely Fall like, almost winter on some days. The trees are just getting more and more beautiful with the red, orange and gold. We are expecting a rainy day today, which is always a good day to stay in and craft. Exactly what I plan to do.

Tomorrow, I am going to go to the local hospital and volunteer some time making stuffed dolls for their Boo Boo Baby program. A bunch of women get together on Mondays and make these little dolls to give out to the children that come in so they may have something to comfort them. They turn out very cute, and nice and soft. My sister-in-law usually does it, but since she is away, I was asked to take her place. They need all the help they can get and I am more than happy to do it.

I am really disappointed that I don't have any pictures for you, but believe me when I get home, be prepared for plenty of them.

New Hampshire

Well, I am giving it a try again -- blogging that is. I have failed miserably in the past, but I am going to give it a try again.

Right now the hubby and I are in New Hampshire dog sitting for about a month for my sister and brother-in-law. It is absolutely beautiful here and it is not even peak season yet for the foliage. I have not taken any pictures yet but I will be doing that in the days to come. I have, however, been crafting up a storm. No pictures of that yet either, but I do promise them soon.

I have made a set of pillowcases and quilted a christmas tree. You have to see the christmas tree to understand what I did. I could not believe how easy peasey it was. On my list is a quilt and some knitting, of course.

Today we have to go to the food store and we will be going to Market Basket. It is the best food store I have ever been to price wise and in these times, getting more for your buck is a great thing.

Well, that is aofr now, I just wanted to get this thing started. Wish me luck!
